Online Activism Lesson

Having students investigate examples of online activism and discuss what made their campaigns successful can lead to conversations about critical thinking when utilizing social media, both as a producer and consumer.
This is such a valuable part of Web 2.0. Since social media is a primary knowledge sharing tool, we can take knowledge sharing to a whole new level. The issue here is that I see very little dialogue going on. As social media popularizes activism, the intellectual quality of it will diminish due to simple regression to the mean.

The next generation of change-makers must be prepared by cultivating a thorough awareness of online activism as the digital world changes.
